Does AlleyPulse work in my area?

AlleyPulse's weekly neighborhood email works for shop addresses wherever Google Maps has business listings, except Russia and Belarus. How much each issue contains depends on how many businesses are listed near your address, so check yours below.

PLACEHOLDER COUNTS

Counts are placeholder estimates until the live listing scan is connected. Include rural or village to see the few listings result.

Radius

The check only counts listings near the address. The address is sent in the request body, never in a URL, is not linked to you, and is discarded after the check.

Result

No address checked yet

Enter an address to see how many Google Maps listings we find within your radius. Three results are possible:

  • Supported. Enough listings for a useful weekly issue.
  • Few listings. It works, with quieter weeks.
  • Not supported. Russia, Belarus, or no listings at all.

Without JavaScript the check still works: submit the form and you get a plain result page. The rules on this page apply to every address.

Supported

137

listings within 1 km·demo number

Enough listings within your radius for a useful weekly issue. Expect most weeks to have several items.

Few listings found

listings within 1 km·demo number

It works, but quiet weeks with only weather, events and trends are likely. A 2 km radius usually adds more nearby businesses.

What does each result mean?

ResultWhat it meansWhat to expect
SupportedEnough listings within your radius for a useful weekly issue. Most weeks have several items across tiers.
Few listingsIt works, but few businesses are listed nearby.Quieter weeks led by weather, events and trends. A 2 km radius usually helps.
Not supportedAddresses in Russia and Belarus, or places where we find no business listings at all.No sample and no subscription for that address.

Which countries are covered?

Any country where Google Maps has business listings, except Russia and Belarus. Coverage depends on what is listed near your address, not on the country, so we check addresses one at a time. We don't claim coverage of every city or every business.

Why do some areas get fuller issues than others?

Each issue is built from the businesses listed on Google Maps within your radius, plus public sources for events and news. A busy city center may have hundreds of listings within 1 km; a rural high street may have a dozen.

  • Dense centers: more to report, but some small businesses may be missing or hard to tell apart, for example several listings at one address.
  • Sparse areas: fewer competitor items; weather, events and trends make up more of the issue.
  • Unlisted businesses: if a business isn't on Google Maps, it can't appear in AlleyPulse.
  • Local news and events: depend on what is published publicly online for your area and language.

Which radius should I choose?

1 km suits most town and city shops. Choose 0.5 km in very dense centers to keep the issue focused, and 2 km in suburbs or small towns.

Is coverage the same every week?

Not exactly. Businesses and Google users add, edit and remove listings all the time. We compare weekly snapshots, so new and closed items start from issue 2 and are reliable from about week 3 to 4. Read more in where the data comes from.
